Minutes

Meeting January 20, 2005, 11:00 a.m.

Attended: Mohammed Hafez, Dipak Ghosal, Bruce Kutter, and William Chancellor.

Absent: Ann Orel, Bruce Gates, K. Abdel-Ghaffar. Bruce White

First order of business was discussion of who would be chair of this committee for this academic year. It was determined since all members were not present to continue this discussion via email. Dipak Ghosal volunteered to be chair and all members agreed.

The call and time line was handed out to committee members for the Zuhair A. Munir Best Dissertation Award that this committee will be responsible for reviewing and making the selection. All nominations will be submitted electronically and a secure web site has been added to the Awards Committee web site on the College home page in order for committee members to review nominations for this award. This committee will meet sometime the second week of April to discuss the nominations.
